Our medical clinic is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct and indirect treatment to patients who need rehabilitation as a result of injuries or illness. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will help assess patient needs, plan treatments and document services. You should have a strong focus on patient’s health outcomes, and a knowledge of their physical condition, appearance and the type of treatment they may require. Our Physical Therapist Assistant duties include assisting patients in the range of motion exercises and physical therapy programs to help heal their condition. Ultimately, you should be able to work with patients at various stages of treatment to achieve positive health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with patients and families to coordinate physical therapy treatments.
• Assess, evaluate and treat patients’ short-term medical conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Conduct therapeutic activities, like range-of-motion exercises or hot/cold compress application for treating soft-tissue injuries.
• Perform examination of patients and medical records to identify factors that could be damaging to their health.
• Manage the flow of patients on a daily basis, organize treatments and monitor the progress of all participants in a given treatment program.
• Work closely with the Physical Therapist in order to provide the best possible care for each patient.
• Prepare paperwork and documentation of therapy activities performed with each patient.
• Keep abreast of current trends in PT treatment., like new assessment/treatment methods or new technologies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
