Bedrock Care is now hiring a Physical Therapist Floater for our Philadelphia team. See below for further information on Bedrock Care's Philadelphia locations.

The Speech Therapist, As a floater, the Speech Therapist you will travel between Bedrock Care's Philadelphia locations, including: Care Pavilion, Cliveden, Maplewood, Tucker House, and York Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Under the Physical Therapist, the Assistant aides in planning, organizing, and directings Physical Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Duties:

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs physical therapy, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
  • Meets with the administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning therapy services.
  • Develops and maintains physical therapy standards.
  • assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the physical therapy service.
  • Determines the staffing needs of the physical therapy department necessary to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Assists the administrator and/or the personnel director in the recruitment and selection of competent physical therapy personnel.
  • Provides guidance and training for new and/or less experienced personnel.
  • Assists the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function.
  • Performs patient tests, measurements, and evaluations - such as: range of motion and manual muscle tests, gait and function analysis, and body parts measurements - and records and evaluates findings to aid in establishing or revising specifics of treatment programs.
  • Plans and administers prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.
  • Performs and submits required documentation of patient evaluations, plans of care, clinical notes, and progress reports.

Job Qualifications:

  • CDC COVID-19 Vaccination card showing fully vaccinated.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess a current PA Physical Therapist license.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
