Job Summary:

We are seeking a Physician Services Program Specialist to join our Physician Services team at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG). The Physician Services Program Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for new and existing MAPMG physicians in support of MAPMG’s tri-jurisdictional licensing and privileging requirements. The Physician Services Program Specialist supports the licensure and hospital privileging processes for physicians by providing concierge support and the use of a web-based credentialing system.

This position is primarily remote with the ability to go into the office on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

• Provide concierge level service to MAPMG physicians for required licensure and hospital privileging process through a seamless experience including but not limited to anticipating and addressing needs and providing resolution in a timely and effective manner
• Utilize the web-based system for tracking required licensure and hospital privileging to ensure new applications and renewals are submitted and completed in a timely fashion
• Adhere to established procedures that ensure license and hospital privileging applications are accurately and properly completed, verified, and uploaded to the web-based system
• Work closely with Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States Credentialing Department to support the timely credentialing of new and existing MAPMG physicians
• Work closely with hospitals to support the timely hospital privileging of new and existing MAPMG physicians
• Prepare/Complete necessary forms, reports, lists, etc. to ensure accurate and timely payment
• Consistently demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior service
• Keep up to date with District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia physician licensure policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Solid knowledge of state medical licensing and hospital privileging requirements
• Proven track record of successful change and adoption outcomes with stakeholders and end user experiences
• Ability to adapt to changes and be effective in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong accuracy and attention to details
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies as needed
• Superb customer service skills
