Lavish Roots is a local, family-owned, Certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) that provides Catering and Corporate dining in the Greater Seattle Area. Our day to day operations are not typical of industry "norms" as we produce, from scratch, gourmet cuisines from all over the world - and, they change daily!

We are searching for Pizza Cooks with a passion for preparing a variety of pies! Our team of culinary professionals provide onsite service and management for corporate cafés in Seattle, Redmond, and Bellevue with a focus on high quality, fresh meals, and exceptional hospitality for the worlds largest social media company!

The Details:

Cooking/Food Execution

• Pizza cooks adhere to recipes and cooking techniques, as delegated by the Jr Sous Chef
• Prep veggies and meat
• Prepare dough and sauces
• Assist other stations, as needed throughout service and to prep ahead

Hospitality
This isn’t your typical back of the house pizza cook role! Our cooks provide exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging guests with information on the menu served: including flavor profiles, allergens, and history of the dish.

Cleanliness

• All team members should maintain clean work stations and equipment throughout the day
• Display personal hygiene including clean fingernails and uniform

Safety

• All team members should practice excellent sanitation/food safety and safe use of food preparation equipment
• Must hold a valid King County food handler permit. Non-slips shoes are required in the kitchen (Lavish Roots provides an annual $50 shoe stipend).

For the safety and health of our guests and team members, Lavish Roots requires proof of vaccination for employment. Face masks are optional.

Skills/Experience

• We’re looking for cooks with a range of cooking skills/techniques and knowledge of pizza making/dough preparation.
• Must have strong knife skills executed at a high level
• Applicants should have at least 1-3 years of previous Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant/catering setting
• Ability to understand and communicate basic English (speaking, writing, and reading)

The Small Print

Physical Demands
Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time. Standing during a shift of 8-10+ hours. Repetitive hand and arm motion involved in production and clean up. Heavy lifting or carrying of up to 40lbs.

Work Environment
Fast paced kitchen, moderate to high noise level, exposure to soap and cleaning solutions, slippery/uneven surfaces may be encountered, frequently moving from cold freezer to normal kitchen environment, occasional smoke, steam, and heat in a confined space.
