Patches and repairs broken plaster work; replaces lath and studs as required; applies plaster to new construction; handles sheetrock and applies tape on joint work as required.

· Knocks down old plaster work to repair walls and ceilings

· Repairs cracks in old plaster work, matching type of materials

· Repairs holes in sheetrock and applies appropriate finish

· Constructs metal stud walls

· Applies tape on joints and plasters newly constructed partitions

· Performs overtime work on a scheduled, unscheduled, routine, or emergency basis, as assigned

· Attends work daily and is engaged and on task

· Performs related work as assigned

• Graduation from high school, trade school or equivalent

• Considerable knowledge of practices, tools and terminology of the plastering trade is required. Must be able to lay out work and interpret plans and blueprints and demonstrate sophisticated skills in the performance of plastering tasks; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
