LICENSE :
Possess and maintain an Apprentice Plumbers License with the State of Texas as prescribed under Title 8, Subchapter G, Section 1301.3541
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.

PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY
:
Perform plumbing work as assigned and overseen by a Journeyman or Master Plumber. This includes but is not limited to: installation, modifications, repairs and preventive maintenance associated with plumbing equipment and utilities used within the North East Independent School District.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists in the installation, modification and maintenance of plumbing equipment and utilities under the supervision of a Journeyman or Master Plumber (Incumbent should be able to perform plumbing repairs with little or no supervision).
2. Maintains confidentiality of information.
3. Reports to work on time every day.
4. Follows District safety guidelines.
5. Performs all other task and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination to include vision, hearing, alcohol and drug testing

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Thorough, working knowledge and understanding of plumbing tools, equipment, materials and their proper usage and limitations
- Working knowledge of blueprints as related to plumbing
- Working knowledge of trade safety precautions
- Basic knowledge of City of San Antonio Plumbing Code
- Capable of laying out new construction from blueprints with minimum supervision
- Capable of sizing gas and water lines per City of San Antonio Code
- Capable of accurately shooting elevations to lay specified grades or lines
- Capable of performing maintenance plumbing with minimum supervision
- Valid Texas Drivers License with a driving record that meets the requirements as set forth by the District
