You will be an active part of the Florida Palm Plumbing team. You will help promote a company culture that encourages morale and quality performance. This position would be in charge of the progress of jobs in the field and being an active participant in growing and maintaining Florida Palm Plumbing.

- Field Plumbing Review - Develop and implement a system for Plumbing Superintendent that includes:

  • Purchase Orders: Overseeing project purchases and making adequate modifications that allow a fluid series of events throughout job progress.
  • Reviewing Scope: Review the scope given to the Field Plumbing team by the Plumbing Manager and review any gaps seen and bridge those gaps.
  • Scheduling: Review bi-weekly schedule with Plumbing Manager at weekly meetings, help with scheduling ideas and needs, come up with creative solutions to scheduling/resource issues.
  • Preparing for the job: Working with the Plumbing Manager to see their gaps in how the labor hours, materials, and your time are.
  • Material Purchasing: Order purchases for all open jobs and coordinator delivery of materials to jobs sites with Plumbing Field team and Plumbing Manager.
  • Communication: Plumbing Superintendent would be responsible for promoting and conducting healthy communication between field and office
  • Permitting: Plumbing Superintendent would be responsible for gathering and relaying any permitting information to the Permit Facilitator, and continuously aid in the development to automate the plumbing permitting process.
  • Work with both teams to find a good process for:

§ Job Hand off

§ Change Orders

§ Checklists – for walk throughs, close outs, site visits, etc.

  • Plumbing Superintendent would be responsible for the management and effectiveness of any Field Plumbers, overseeing them in their day to day responsibilities, guiding on plumbing specific trade knowledge and conducting semi-annual reviews with them. It would be Plumbing Superintendent responsibility to understand the Field Plumbers position, the gaps they are experiencing, and conduct informational investigations to find closure of said gaps.
  • Plumbing Superintendent would be responsible for reporting current client communication to the Plumbing manager and checking in with all current clients to obtain feedback on job progress, job outcomes, to gain further insight for reappraise/adjusting/fine tuning current plumbing operational processes.


  • Plumbing Superintendent would be expected to contribute ideas regularly for any other opportunity to streamline systems and processes on any of Florida Palm Plumbing, teams.


  • Plumbing Superintendent would be expected to perform plumbing work alongside Field Plumbers on as needed basis.


  • Plumbing Superintendent Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide inspired leadership for the plumbing department.
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Oversee plumbing job progress, reporting, scheduling and material planning.
  • Work with the Operations Manager & Plumbing Manager to determine annual and quarterly department action plans, and set short and long-term goals for the plumbing department.
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
  • Support worker communication with the Leadership team.
  • Provide sketches and dimensions along with isometric drawings used by drafters to create plans for permitting.
  • Research catalogs and vendor services for complex and/or customized system retrofits.
  • Interpret and apply mechanical and structural blueprints to plan plumbing repairs and modifications.


Requirements:

  • 5 years min experience as a Plumbing field superintend.
  • Journeyman License *Preferred not required.
  • Plumbing License *Preferred not required.
  • Ability to read and understand plumbing prints.
  • Proficient in local plumbing codes.
  • MS office proficient *Preferred not required.
  • Ability to pass Federal Background check
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests.
  • A valid Florida Driver’s License.

Employee will serve full-time and would be expected to be 8-5 Monday through Friday. This position will be paid between $40,000 - 65,000 salary per year, depending on experience and recommendations. This position will also be eligible for, full health benefits, 401(k) retirement fund, company holidays and paid time off.
