Job description

The Pevely Police Department is accepting applications for a Full-Time Police Officer. Applicant’s duties will include, but are not limited to, the ability to enforce state, federal, and local laws, perform routine patrol, and respond to emergency calls and investigations. Applicants must have strong communication skills, excellent work history, and an excellent attendance record. Shifts will include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on call status.

Requirements include completion of Missouri P.O.S.T. Class A Certified Law Enforcement Academy, eligible for employment Police Officer certification from the State of Missouri, valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record, no criminal record, and must be 21 years of age.

Candidates will be subject to pre-employment drug testing, psychological exam, physical exam, and a background check.
