SUMMARY:

Operate polishing and buffing equipment to obtain desired finish on parts and castings of intricate sizes and shapes.

• 
  Obtain even an finish on high-grade castings of intricate size and shape.
• Knowledge of nickel, chrome, and color buff operations.
• Ability to manipulate work to wheel using proper pressure and duration to obtain desired polish.
• Ability to train new polishing operators on various aspects of polishing, buffing and quality standards.
• The ability to set up and operate polishing and buffing equipment.
• Knowledge of quality standards of related parts/castings.
• To properly use all required safety equipment and practices in compliance with company policies
• To use selected wheels, dressings, and abrasives best suited for each type of job according to the supervisor’s instructions.
• Using careful handling, place finished parts in proper trays, racks and carts to insure undamaged product.
• Notifying the polishing supervisor of problems/concerns relating to the product.
• Use and knowledge of safety equipment and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean workstation daily.
• Communicate quality or job related problems to supervisor.
• Proper maintenance and cleaning of polishing machine.
• Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: Level of education usually acquired through the completion of high school.

Communication Skills:

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
