British Swim School has been teaching children and adults survival skills and swim skills since 1981! Our motto is "Survival of the Littlest"! We are looking for a Pool Deck Ambassador who loves to work with people of all ages and has a customer service mindset as well as fun personality!

In this job you will:

- Run smooth and happy customer service and site operations at our small hotel pool swim school.

- Communicate with parents, and help little children into, through, and out of swim lessons

- Learn British Swim School teaching methods, class management systems, and procedures.

- Is the primary provider in superb customer service and consequent retention of BSS customers;

Builds strong relationships with existing customers to secure further lesson bookings and to attract new customers to bring continued growth to increase the location’s revenue.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Communicate with students, staff and parents

- Manages attendance and scheduling

- Set up and clean up before and after lessons, follow and lead on COVID safety measures

- Provides a safe and productive environment for lessons

- Take pictures of move-up students and any opportunities for camera shots

- Welcome and orient new students and parents

- Manages and maintain materials, equipment and supplies

- Manages merchandise sales

- Oversee instructors and staff, conducting meetings when necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

- Excellent verbal communication skill

- Comfortable working closely with children

- Reliable. mature, and responsible

- A good listener and problem solver

- Demonstrates a positive attitude and actions through courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism to colleagues and customers.

- First Aid and CPR a plus, Lifeguard a huge plus.

This is a part-time position, ideally two shifts of 5 hrs per week.

Shifts at the Marlborough location will be:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays: 3:00pm - 8:00pm'
