Position Details:

The Hipps Lab (WSU Department of Chemistry) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate or Associate In depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Duties for both Postdoctoral Research Associate or Associate In
  • Successful applicants will conduct research; modify procedures to accomplish research goals; work with vendors and others to establish and maintain operation of research equipment; process and analyze data; run research protocols; assist in preparing manuscripts and presentation

Additional Job Duties for Postdoctoral Research Associate
  • Have an active role in the design of experiments; in the development of data analysis methods; assist in proposal and report preparation; present work at meetings as justified by results obtained

Qualifications

Required Qualifications for ALL Candidates:
  • Experience in vacuum technology and the use of scientific electronic instrumentation

Required Qualifications for Postdoctoral Research Associate:
  • PhD in Chemistry, Physics or Engineering

Required Qualifications for Associate In:
  • MS in Chemistry, Physics or Engineering

Monthly Salary:

$3,750/month for Postdoctoral Research Associate

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position position expected to end one year after hire date. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
