Duties and Responsibilities:

Automotive painting experience (preferred)

Powder coating experience (required)

Sanding, prepping, polishing, & stripping work surfaces

• Selecting & mixing powder coats to desired color & prepare spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray guns.

• Be capable of reading & understanding technical documents such as pigment mixing procedures & maintaining sprayer equipment as required.

• Cleaning spraying equipment with solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions daily.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

6 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, & decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, (operate spray gun) handle, or feel; reach with hands & arm. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance & stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
