About us: An established precaster with over 40 years of history, we design and manufacture standard and custom precast concrete products. From Large scale infrastructure to custom water cisterns, Redi-Rock retaining walls, electric and gas utilities, on-site wastewater, or sewage applications. Summary: Assists in all activities of production department precast concrete manufacturing by performing the following duties personally.
Job Function:
- Constructs precast forms/molds daily per shop drawings utilizing hand and power tools.
- Assembly and tying of rebar cages and mesh cages.
- Works in placement of fresh concrete in molds: vibrating, finish troweling, placement of wet set embeds, and all associated tasks.
- Plant cleanliness: Conducts daily cleaning and organization of plant floor, casting beds, workstations, tool and supply cabinets.
- Follows all company standard operational procedures, quality policies, company and safety policies.
Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Speak & read in English.
Knowledge skills and attributes:
- Blueprint/ shop drawing reading skills and knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances required.
- The ability to use all carpentry equipment in conjunction with reading blueprints and execute on parts needed for molds.
- The ability to learn, organize and prioritize work, delegate tasks as deemed necessary, handle multiple tasks, work independently
- The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attendance history.
- Strong ability to work cooperatively with peers to achieve daily production goals.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Time-management skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time.
- Independent, self-motivated and self-direction, especially regarding identifying and managing high priority projects, in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Will be expected to use sound judgment, self-drive and honesty in carrying out the functions of the job.
- Will be expected to maintain current knowledge of precast plant techniques and procedures.
- Committed to safety at all times.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- The ability to stand/bend/stretch/reach/kneel/crawl, etc.
- The ability to lift 50lbs
- Will be expected to be proficient in reviewing work areas for safety and quality control related items.
- Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time throughout work shift.
