Summary:

The President oversees all aspects of business development and business operations to ensure the success of Glacier by achieving growth targets, exceeding financial budgets, realizing customer delivery excellence, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, mentoring staff members, and working closely with Goldbelt senior leadership to implement the vision of Goldbelt’s Board of Directors.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission, objectives: and to promote revenue growth, profitability, and maturity as an organization.
  • Grow the business by building and leading a high performing business development team focused on opportunities in the Federal Health market.
  • Build a business network to achieve Glacier’s business objectives using personal contacts, special events, and other methods.
  • Oversee company operations to ensure delivery excellence, planned profitability, and efficient utilization of corporate resources
  • Establish and implement measurement tools to monitor and track performance of all departments to verify outcomes that are in alignment with budgets and strategic objectives.
  • Review activity reports and financial statements to determine status in attaining objectives and revise methods and plans in accordance with current conditions.
  • Manage and direct departmental supervisors and staff, overseeing activities to ensure smooth operations of all departments and unify interdepartmental collaboration efforts required for successful operation of the business.
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationships with corporate and subsidiary management and those representatives of the private and public sectors deemed important to the operations.
  • Evaluate performance of employees for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
  • Promote the company to local, regional, national, and international constituencies.
  • Present company reports at Member Shareholder and Goldbelt Board of Director meetings.
  • Responsible for the final selection and delegation of authority to all subordinate supervisors under his/her direction; enforce policies and procedures established by the company, and state and local laws.
  • Interview, hire, evaluate, discipline, and discharge subordinate supervisors and employees within union agreement requirements; direct efforts to reduce absenteeism, tardiness, turnover, and employee complaints while promoting teamwork.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • A strong background in the Federal Health Market is required with a demonstrated ability to speak credibly with the primary customer base.
  • Experience with the full Federal Acquisition lifecycle and demonstrated experience in winning contracts in the Federal Health Market.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, government accounting and program management.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures.
  • Experience in full P&L responsibility.
  • Experience in formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Knowledge of marketing and public relations principles and practices.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to identify and secure contract revenue sources.
  • Ability to manage, supervise, and motivate subordinate staff; to lead by example, including the ability to adequately train staff; to handle disciplinary and stressful situations in an effective manner.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge with accounting systems and ability to analyze data for accurate forecasting and financial reporting purposes.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Psychological Health, or a related field.
  • Fifteen (10) years’ experience in a leadership role for a large division or company.
  • Ten (10) years’ supervisory experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background and credit check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Secret to Top Secret).
  • A Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in business administration
  • Previous Alaska Native Corporation experience
  • Federal Contracting experience.
