West Branch Valley FCU (WBVFCU), located in Williamsport, PA, is seeking its next President/CEO to succeed the current President/CEO upon her retirement. WBVFCU is a $55M community-chartered credit union serving 4,500+ members in Lycoming County.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The President/CEO plans and directs all the credit union’s activities in accordance with the credit union policies as established by the Board of Directors. Responsible for ensuring financial stability commensurate with the best interest of the members, employees, and the credit union. The President/CEO gives direction and builds cohesion among the Board of Directors, management, and staff towards the achievement of the mission and strategic goals of the credit union.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

· Direct all credit union operations

· Manage the day-to-day operation of the credit union

· Develop, recommend, and implement financial policies and procedures

· Ensures that the credit union is in compliance with the federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration (“NCUA”) and other regulatory agencies

· Supervise budget for the credit

· Ensure quality service to members

· Conducts business development activities to promote growth

· Recommend appropriate wage and salary structure to the Board of Directors.

· Plan and oversee the employee benefits program

· Maintains responsibility for all activities related to the investment function, including the development of policies and procedures necessary to ensure that safety, liquidity, and yield are considered in all credit union investment decisions

· Manage security and safety for the credit union

REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES:

· Outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with the executive team and board in growing the organization

· Commitment to credit union philosophies.

· Critical reasoning, problem solving capacity, strategy development and analytical skills.

· Ethical leadership, people improvement and decisiveness

· Marketing skills, product development, facilities management, HR skills, lending, collections, and asset/liability management.

· Constructively with the regulators and internal auditors.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· A four-year college degree is required, preferably in accounting or business management

· Prior job experience of not less than five years in senior management positions in a financial institution

· Prior credit union management experience is desired
