This position is for a technician who works under moderate supervision to provide technical support to production equipment tasks such as install, repair, and maintain production machines and equipment. Performs basic to moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the improved uptime and efficiency of equipment and PM systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in facility as prescribed in the machine manuals or agreed plans with supervisors.
• Must be computer literate as required to enter, access, or print preventative maintenance data and inspection sheets.
• Must be able to understand and explain preventative maintenance program to perform necessary checks and inspections.
• As requested or required, move, install, and support launch of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery and equipment to determine causes of malfunctions using equipment manuals.
• Dismantle, clean, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment.
• Run reassembled machinery and equipment to test operation.
• Set up and operate metal working machines to manufacture or repair parts.
• May perform electrical checks using test instruments to determine status of equipment.
• May be required to wire equipment during layouts or moves per direction of electrician using code and safety procedures.
• Weld using acetylene or arc in the normal functions of the job.
• Assist in training other machine repair mechanics.
• Perform daily inspections per inspection sheet per rotation schedule.
