POSITION SUMMARY: *
The Privileging Team Lead supports the Privileging Manager as well as provides guidance, instruction, and direction to individual team members. Team Lead excels and is an expert in either the Privileging Consultant (PCT) or Privileging Coordinator (PCD) role. They are a positive role model and in line with Sound core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: *

  • Carries a 30% workload [as a Privileging Consultant and/or Coordinator as determined by current department needs]
  • Assists managers in analyzing workloads and reallocating resources
  • Assist with new hire training to ensure colleague is set up for success
  • Participate in monthly, or more frequently as needed, 1:1’s with team members, including crucial conversations. Assistance from Manager/Director during beginning stages of role, with potential to run independently.
  • Attend weekly regional staffing calls to ensure high level of service from direct reports
  • Assist team members with privileging discovery, site implementation, and any other privileging calls for sites
  • Field questions/concerns and bring to Manager/Director as needed
  • Work with Manager on company/department tasks and projects as assigned
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings with Manager
  • Participate in weekly leadership meeting with Clinician Services Leadership Team
  • Assist in completing 30/60/90 reviews, development plans and annual evaluations for each direct report
  • Participate in candidate interviews and provide assessment of candidate
  • Participate in coaching of direct reports and assist with creating and presenting a Personal Improvement Plan
  • Positively project the values and goals of Sound Physicians with sophistication and maturity required to build credibility with Sound Physicians employees/clients and physicians with whom we interact

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: *
Education
Minimum:

  • High School education or equivalent

Preferred:

  • College degree from an accredited institution or a combination of experience and NAMSS
  • CPCS Certification

Experience
Minimum:

  • Prior experience in the health services industry or prior experience in a similar administrative/project management role

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years clinician privileging in a hospital Medical Staff Services Office, IPA/Medical Group, or physician group practice
