The Process Control Supervisor earns a competitive salary of $32.86 to $35.57/hour based on qualifications. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THE PROCESS CONTROL SUPERVISOR

• Assists and participates in the development and administration of the Division's annual budget.
• Develops, reviews, and updates standard operating procedures for facility processes, safety, and emergency conditions to ensure proper and safe operation of facilities.
• Conducts formal performance appraisals; participate in a variety of personnel actions including hiring, counseling, training, promotion, discipline, and termination.
• Calculates sludge production, coordinates with Lab Technician for compliance testing, manages disposal.
• Has an advanced knowledge of SCADA operations including but not limited to: analyzing performance data, alarms, continuous monitoring instruments, controlling of valves and motors, and generating reports.
• Calculates flow change to maintain adequate storage levels in GSTs and ESTs system pressure.
• Monitors filter performance and performs routine backwashing, clean-in-place, integrity tests and replaces membrane cartridges when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training experience in the water industry or related field. Preferences include: college courses or certification(s) in environmental science, microbiology, or chemistry.

Five (5) years of working experience in surface water treatment plants or closely related field. Experience with membrane filters is preferred.

The minimum license requirement of this position is a valid Class A Water Operator license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Consideration will be given to a qualified candidate with a Class B license if candidate can obtain a valid Class A license within 6 months of employment
