Rockline Industries is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our Maintenance Engineering team. Rockline is a light industrial manufacturer of disinfectant wipes and coffee filter products seeking direct hire.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Process Engineer exists to lead efforts to standardize and error-proof work for operations, improve process efficiency, create/manage changes to work instructions, and support associate training in a variety of capacities. The position also requires the support of Validations (IQ, OQ, PQ), Trial Coordination, Facilitation and Lead of Improvement Projects, Design and Programming Automated Systems. There are also responsibilities related to scrap reductions and throughput improvements.

  • Reverse Engineering Machine Components
  • Equipment Validations or Testing

This position is designated as a Safety-Sensitive (A safety-sensitive position is one in which the associate’s inability or impaired ability to perform their job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to the associate’s safety or the safety of others).

FLSA: Exempt

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science discipline, or a minimum of 8 – 10 years of related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in process/machine design
  • Formal training in Project Management or previous Project Management Experience
  • Formal training or previous experience in Time Management, Problem Solving, Rapid Decision Making, and Crucial Conversations
  • Microsoft Software proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • AutoCAD and 3D Modeling proficient
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawing

Relevant experience preferred to qualify for the position:

  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with automated packaging equipment
  • Experience in machine installs, checkouts, and acceptance testing
  • Management or Leadership Experience
  • Project Lead
  • Direct Reports
  • Wet Wipe Manufacturing or other Paper Converting process experience.

Other desirable training in preparation for the position:

  • Lean Manufacturing Training (Certificate Program)
  • Six Sigma basics
  • Read and interpret Electrical Schematics
  • Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
  • Formal training or previous experience in Situational Leadership a plus
  • Programming in any of the following
    • Visual Basic
    • C++
    • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Rockwell / Allen Bradley
    • Human Machine Interface (HMI)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

60% Office, 40% Production Floor
