Position: Sr. Process Manufacturing Engineer

Job Location: Redmond, WA

Salary: $110K - $130K

Manufacturing of high performance healthcare devices, We are seeking a Sr. Process Manufacturing Engineer. We are looking for someone who is friendly and fun to match our culture, works hard and follows through on commitments.

The Process Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects within the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of medical devices, ultrasound transducers, and assembly processes. We need someone who is friendly and fun to match our culture, and is self-motivated; who can follow through on commitments and efficiently manage their time.

Primary Responsibilities:

Review, optimize and document processes for manufacturing.

Understand, set-up, use and interpret design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC).

Prepare and manage Engineering Changes for New Product Introduction to transfer to production.

Identify, evaluate, and execute continuous improvement opportunities to drive down unit cost of production, improve production capability.

Optimize factory layouts and product flows to support required production throughput.

Initiate development of tools and fixtures to support product builds.

Analyze trends and defect data from the factory to determine areas to focus on to improve manufacturing yields.

Identifies, performs ROI, and implements new fabrication methods and equipment to support production builds.

Use Product Lifecycle Management software to create and manage change notices, create BOM’s, deviations and other documentation for manufacturing processes.

Collaborate with production operators, design engineers, and sub-contract manufacturers to identify areas for improvement.

Spend significant amount of time working directly with operators on the shop floor.

Qualifications:

BS/MS degree Material Science, Ceramics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

5+ years of Process Manufacturing Engineering Experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of precision electro-mechanical systems, preferably in a medical device related organization

Experience with Ultrasound Key Processes preferred; Stack bond, Backing, Dicing, Sputtering, Lensing, Soldering, Electronic Assemblies.

Significant experience in Lean Manufacturing waste reduction techniques (5-S, Kaizen, Continuous Flow, Lead Time Reduction, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban)

Strong working knowledge in MS Office Suite and Google Docs, including advanced Excel and Statistical Software.

Prior experience with FDA and CE regulatory guidelines highly preferred.

Strong analytical skills

Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple assignments, while maintaining a high level of quality

Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Experience:

Microsoft Office: 5 years (Required)

Lean manufacturing: 1 year (Required)

Microsoft Excel: 5 years (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
