Purpose:
To work every day in a way that actively supports and accomplishes the Values, Mission and Vision of Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc.
Reports To: Chemical Plant Manager
Objective: The Process Operator’s objective is to monitor the fill process on Western’s bulk chemical trailers at all fill sites. The Process Operator is also responsible for monitoring the discharge process of all bulk chemical trailers. The filling and discharging of bulk chemical trailers must be done is a safe and efficient manner.
General Responsibilities:
Monitor the filling and discharging of bulk chemical trailers at all automated sites.
Work hand-in-hand with Western’s distribution department in the scheduling delivery of full chemical trailers to bulk customer sites and the pickup of empty trailers from bulk customer sites.
Maintain logbook entries as an integral component to safe operations of WIG locations.
Assist maintenance department in trouble shooting various plant equipment at multiple Western facilities.
Work Schedule:
The Western Control Room is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
This coverage is provided by night shift and day shift, 12 hour coverage per shift.
Process Operator must bring personal necessities for a 12 hour shift.
The night shift works a week on, week off schedule. 7/12s.
Day shift works 3 days on 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.

Responsibilities:
To know, understand and accurately follow all applicable SOP’s
Ensure quality control on inbound and outbound bulk chemical trailers.
Assist with field testing of SOP’s when required
Ensure all SOP training is current for Area employees and that all SOP’s are followed
Timely complete all required training including Computer Based Training, Classroom Training, and Hands on Training
Inbound/Outbound all customer cylinders accurately and timely.
Track all customer cylinders through the production process accurately ensuring that all billing is timely and correctly completed
Professionally communicate with internal/external customers via phone, in person, and electronic communication methods
Ensuring all cylinder maintenance is correctly and accurately billed in a timely manner
Complete all customer inventory accounts as required
Complete work orders for internal customers as required
Timely communication with the distribution department to properly schedule trucks to meet customer needs
Any other duties assigned

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Ability to climb and balance safely on commercial trailers
