The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Sr Procurement Specialist in overseeing and managing the procurement and inventory control processes for ISC. This individual will work closely with the IT Supply Chain team and members of ISC to ensure that inventory levels are maintained, and procurement processes are efficient and effective.

• Assist with the implementation of the procurement and inventory management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with University/ISC policies and regulations.
• Conduct market research and analyze procurement trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and maximize purchasing power.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular monthly physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assist with identifying and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and minimize excess inventory.
• Collaborate with ISC staff to forecast inventory needs; manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Manage the procurement process for goods and services, including preparing and issuing purchase order requisitions, negotiating pricing and terms, and evaluating supplier performance.
• Ensure and confirm delivery of goods against service order/requisitions.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely and efficient procurement and inventory management.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting on procurement and inventory metrics to management.

• Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in procurement, inventory management, or a related field is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
• Experience in a higher education or large-scale procurement environment preferred.
