THE COMPANY
The Design Group Creative Play and Toy division operates under the name Anker Play Products. The creative play and toy line has been a steady and growing category of product within the DG business and has an incredible portfolio of toys, kids crafts and games for mass market and value channel customers. Our extensive product line offers a wide range of creative play products for all children and all seasons.

We are looking for a Product Development Assistant to join our team in our newly renovated top floor office in Miami Beach, FL. Our team operates in an open concept workspace allowing your creativity to flourish and grow. Anker Play launched in 2016 and continues to grow rapidly with product in many major retail stores such as Five Below, Target, and Walmart.

WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining the day-to-day development procedures for both current and new items under the direction of the Product Development Managers. The Product Development Assistant works with the team to keep all system data current while learning the product development process from initial concept to production. As our PD Assistant, you will also collaborate with merchandising and design teams and communicate with our factories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Work with PD Managers to help review incoming initial development samples from factories before providing to the studio for artwork and manage sample tracking sheet.
  • Assist PD Manager with creation of new item sourcing/spec sheet for fty’s as needed.
  • Add new item pages to category presentations.
  • Manage sales quote request process by setting up, sending, and updating key documents, working in conjunction with PD Managers.
  • Manage HTS process by adding needed projects to HTS master document and sending to compliance team, copying back all acquired information to PD team.
  • Manage UPC process by assigning UPC numbers to all newly sourced items.
  • Work with PD Managers and the studio team to review pre-production and production samples, providing comments on functionality and adherence to specs.
  • Perform competitive shopping both in store and on-line for new product ideas.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • You have strong administrative skills including close attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • You are flexible and adept at managing multiple responsibilities with varying deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
