Product Director, Acquisitions, Grants and Personal Property

Provides leadership and management for the Acquisition and Contracting as well as Grants Management and Personal Property curriculum domains, including portfolio, course types, course content, and SME management. Responsible for growing the training business by establishing optimal product mix through product development (in partnership with Learning Development), product marketing (in partnership with Marketing) and Sales (in partnership with Business Development team). Serves as expert on determining appropriate curriculum and course content and design, developing customized learning solutions, and identifying customer training needs.

Responsibilities:

• Participates as a member of the Product Team to balance Product priorities and budget across Product portfolios.
• Responsible for federal market understanding through a variety of market research techniques.
• Responsible for short and long-term portfolio planning and execution.
• Based on market research and internal/external data, creates annual course schedules, delivery modes and initiates instructor assignments.
• Strives to ensure accurate and effective curriculum solutions are built based on appropriate government-wide training requirements and delivered to clients that support positive learner and performance outcomes.
• Supports Sales and Marketing team with in-depth market and product understanding.
• Monitors course quality/content and customer experience for continuous improvement of both.
• Recruits, as needed, and manages subject matter experts (SMEs) who are qualified and to serve as instructors and to develop new and update current content.
• Participates in Proposal bid/no-bid decisions; provides proposal content, contributes to customization discussions along with Learning Development leadership.

Requirements:

• Ability to research and understand the Acquisition, Grants, and Personal Property federal training markets.
• Ability to identify potential opportunities and then analyze/justify the likelihood of success using analytical and financial skills.
• Ability to create quality written professional business cases.
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate around the needs of curriculum, instruction, and learners both within and outside the organization.
• Solid computer skills (MS 365, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience with the federal government in the education space including a working knowledge of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, Federal Acquisition Institute, and the Defense Acquisition Institute.
• Experience working with Instructors, Subject Matter Experts, Instructional Designers, and other learning/training partners.
• Experience with Federal government acquisition contracting practices and policies.

Degree Level Required:

• Bachelor’s degree required: Master’s or relevant certifications desired

Compensation:

• The compensation range for this position is $112,900 to $135,500.
