We are looking for a creative, entrepreneurial, and impact focused Product Director to join a Product Area in our Freemium Mission. This position will lead the product function for a team that focuses on user growth through delightful and interactive experiences that celebrate the Spotify brand, product, and content. Our current hero product is the consumer experience for Spotify’s Wrapped ‘Year in Review’ campaign.
As a Product Director, you will set the long term vision and manage the Product team responsible for the execution of that vision. We are experts in “0 to 1” innovation and looking for a leader who thrives when navigating and leading product innovation in an ambiguous space. What You'll Do
- Define and drive product vision, strategy and metrics for the overall organization and support Product Managers on your team in doing the same for their teams.
- Look for new growth opportunities for Spotify beyond the boundaries of your current strategy.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, and Insights leaders to foster a team ethos of impact, performance, happiness, and health.
- Ensure your team is focusing on the right things, balancing short versus long term needs.
- Lead and grow an outstanding product team.
- Develop strong relationships with senior leaders and partners across the organization, effectively gaining endorsement of strategy.
- Work from our office in New York or Remote EST
Who You Are
- Ideally 10+ years experience delivering highly successful and innovative software products.
- 2+ years of direct managerial experience, hiring and growing Product Managers.
- Previous experience conceptualizing, building, shipping and operating consumer products.
- You are a veteran user of data to make decisions.
- You have a proven track record of helping inform strategic business decisions.
- You have a multi-year track record of efficiently partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
- You have broad technical breadth and depth.
- You have got a strong intuition based on a broad range of experiences, but you take a critical thinker even to your own ideas and are ready to be challenged by colleagues of all levels
- You have earned the respect of your Engineering, Design, Insights, and Business partners, as shown in your 360 feedback.

The United States base range for this position is 194,166 - 277,380 USD, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
