Current Need

We are seeking a Product Information Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA or Jacksonville, FL.

Position Description
The Product Information Specialist is responsible for the research, development, and creation of product information specific to McKesson Brands private label products. The role will work directly with McKesson Brands Product Development, Global Sourcing, QA, and suppliers to create the Product Information Documents (PIDs). This person will then work directly with Brand Management and Marketing to ensure they are able to create artwork, packaging, web content, and collateral which is essential to launching and maintaining items. This is a highly cross functional role that is critical to McKesson Brands ability to launch new items in a timely matter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Researches and develops product content for the PIDs that serve as the blueprint for the development of packaging and other product materials.
  • Works collaboratively with Product Development, Suppliers, QA, and Brand Management to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Creates key new item documents working with the Product Development Managers and Database Management to create item numbers, descriptions, and key information needed to set up new products in the McKesson information system.
  • Consistently updates documents to reflect needed changes based on factors such as regulatory changes, artwork refreshes, supplier manufacturing, labeling, or material updates etc.
  • Special projects, such as research to help with new product reviews, barcoding and labeling requirements, financial analytics, QA and Regulatory needs, etc.

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills
  • Experience with graphic design, product, or brand management.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with SharePoint.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and perform under deadline pressure.
  • Proven success working within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in MS Office.

Additional Skills
  • Experience with product packaging and developing product content within FDA regulation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar application strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to drive initiatives through a matrixed organization.
  • Self-motivated decisive thinker, eager to learn a wide variety of products and business functions.
  • Ability to research unfamiliar topics and write about them clearly for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Experience with product packaging and developing product content preferred, including label/package design.

Education

HS Diploma required. Four-year degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field or equivalent experience.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$58,400 - $97,300
