Job description

Your Job

As a Product Manager for Aggregation, you will work closely with leaders from Engineering and Operations to define the future of Aggregation’s products. You will be empowered to set ambitious goals for the products you work on and the team. You will join a full-stack engineering and cross-functional team and collaborate with experienced Product Managers within the broader product group and other groups at Indeed. In this role, you will be taking care of an incredibly diverse set of job seekers and employers worldwide, and you will need to listen to voices from many different backgrounds and skillsets to be successful.

The
Team:

The Aggregation team’s focus is to ensure we keep being #1 by bringing all existing jobs in the world to Indeed. In Aggregation, we gather job data from the internet, as well as partner directly with employers to bring all the world's jobs together in one place. In service of this goal, we build pipelines that crawl known job sites, verify jobs are still active, extract and store job data for use by downstream consumers to ultimately surface the jobs to job seekers. We also build highly customized tools that allow our advanced internal users to perform an extremely wide range of complex tasks that include maintaining and monitoring the health of said pipelines as well as discovering new jobs on the internet. Additionally, the Aggregation team works with multiple teams across Indeed's business as the data we collect and generate has an impact on nearly every team at Indeed.

Our team is based across the US, fully remote. Upon offices reopening post-COVID, all roles on this team will have the flexibility to return to the office or remain remote. We have regular (virtual) standups, weekly prioritization, OKR reviews, and we stay closely in touch. You will enjoy flexible hours, great compensation and benefits. You will wear many hats and learn many new things on the job. You will be surrounded by smart, dedicated, and nice people. You will be proud of the company's mission and your product's impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Build products that help Indeed aggregate jobs efficiently
  • Create simple solutions with an MVP mindset
  • Work with engineers to define product requirements and then lead those teams to deliver
  • Understand job seeker needs and generate new feature ideas
  • Define the roadmap, goals and metrics for your area
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities
  • Understand pain points and create simple solutions
  • Validate ideas by conducting research, performing experiments and analyzing the results
  • Make data-informed decisions to improve the quality and direction of our products
  • Collaborate with other teams, sometimes across different time zones, to deliver projects spanning multiple teams’ areas
  • Communicate well and influence colleagues and executives
