Product Quality Manager (Pd-QM) is to:
- support the production locations in creating and sustaining customer satisfaction during series.supports the quality related topics starting at launch phase (G70) that are related to the quality product design and quality manufacturing concept in alignment with Project QM/ QMPP.
- supports Change Management with major design changes. PTN / PCN (validations, etc.) including those that impact multiple locations.
- monitors the Product Quality performance in cooperation with the customer and production locations and supports the Vitesco organization to improve in case of deficiencies and/or to support continuous improvement activities.
- supports/drives problem solving activities together with the production locations, SQA, engineering and operations WW based on demands.
- support and coordinate the problem-solving activities for the respective product line when several manufacturing locations are involved.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support/Lead Customer communication on design specific related quality topics.
- Supports locations towards customers claims and warranty issues,
- Responsible for Technical Factor acceptance. In collaboration with CQ / QMPP support the negotiation.
- Ensure transparent Quality report for relevant Quality KPI's for the assigned Product Line.
- Support of production location in case of quality issues and or customer escalations
- Ensures link to QMPP in the assigned manufacturing locations, especially in case of crisis and ensures consistency of information and communication towards customer(s).
- Consolidate and check nonconformance costs for products/customers ( NCC’s ).
- Ensure read across for all affected locations and support changes (PCN, PTN, LL, requalification) affecting several locations WW.
- Active role on supporting claim management
- 8D Champion / 8D release for new failure modes related to design, critical issues
- Support in case of IMDS topics (non procurable supplier data)
- Interface to VT QE C
- Monitor quality target setting and deploy action item tracking for achievement of quality targets.
- Drives preventive and corrective measures from incidents and field performance.
- Ensure the production location in TCMS process are conducted during serial life (inc. customer specific requirements)
- Coordinate risk assessment activities for products deviating from Design in serial life, ensure integrity of technical compliance in case of deviation. Ensure collective deviations are shared and reflected to design for DTC improvement in series life.
- Perform escalations to Product QM team leader in given countries/regions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience of automotive experience.
- Proven experience with direct customer communication.
- Strong communication/presentation skills
- Knowledge of quality methods and tools (e.g. FMEA, problem solving methods, 8d report…)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Quality or related engineering discipline.
- Fluency in German or Spanish is desired.
- Experience in minimum 2 function areas (e.g. Manufacturing, Project Management, Purchasing, Sales…).
- Experience with warranty/claim management.
