Responsibilities

• Inspects, grades, sorts, and packages finished product.
• Follows department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Sets up all tile sorting equipment needed.
• Inspects tile by color and shade.
• Grades tile, by defect, according to defect boards or samples.
• Grades tiles by dotting them with fluorescent dye or manually hand grades as needed.
• Notifies supervisor when new or excessive amounts of defects are observed.
• Assists with clearing jams on the sorting line.
• Practices correct safety practices.
• Maintains cleanliness of the area.
• Performs related tasks as required.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 40lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working weekends
