OUR MISSION:
Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, Inc. provides work opportunities, job training and support services for people with disabilities or other employment barriers.
JOB SUMMARY:
This employee works in all areas of our Distribution Warehouse including textiles, shipping, hard goods, and auction. Must have the ability to learn many different jobs and be flexible/versatile. $12.00 PER HOUR PLUS BENEFITS
SCHEDULE:
- Full time: Monday-Saturday 7 am to 3:30 p.m., work five days per week, every Sunday off and second day off is rotating.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS::
- Insures use of appropriately printed tags, with correct price, category and week number.
- Makes tags as needed using tag printer machine.
- Properly attaches price tag to garments using tagging gun.
- Insures tags are placed in correct containers.
- Responsible for general housekeeping in work area.
- Manually takes merchandise from carts and boxes and inspects for store quality or salvage.
- Manually takes merchandise from carts and boxes, inspects for store quality or salvage, and sorts into appropriate location.
- Places merchandise for store shipments on racks or shipping carts using bubble wrap between layers of glass, and auction material in appropriate container.
- Uses cloth and cleaning solution to clean items for store sales.
- Places seasonal merchandise in appropriate laundry cart for packing.
- Tags store rack or cart with proper store tag for shipping. Mark appropriate store order for rack or cart shipped. Let Lead/or supervisor know when store order is complete.
- Assists others when own store order is complete.
- Will fill in, as needed, as sorter in other Textile departments
- Reviews and is familiar with company safety policies, programs and procedures.
- Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
On-the-job training is over a period up to and including three months.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Hearing, fingering, color vision, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, seeing and depth Stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, fingering seeing and depth perception.
- Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying: Light Work, Lifting 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
- Pushing/Pulling: Heavy work, Pushing/Pulling 100 lbs. maximum with frequent pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
