SunButter LLC is seeking a Production Manager with a background in food manufacturing, agriculture, or relatable experience in a similar production setting. The Production Manager is expected to have a strong employee focused mindset and is responsible for supervising and coordinating employees throughout operations such as Packaging Associates, Production Associates, Sanitation Technicians and Warehouse Associates.

Summary:

The Production Manager will take a servant leadership approach to supervising and coordinating daily and weekly activities for operational employees. They will provide detailed coaching related to production and assuring employees understand the “how” and “why” behind our unique processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

• Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules
• Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations
• Interprets specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties
• Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders.
• Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, and quality of products
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew
• Inspires and motivates others to perform well and gives appropriate feedback and recognition
• Leads by example in safety initiatives and SunButter core values
• Analyzes work problems and assists with resolutions
• First point of contact for conflict resolutions; directs employees to HR when necessary
• Maintain time and production records
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are repetitive of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Relatable degree or 2+ years of work experience and/or training
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on servant leadership
• Team building capabilities with a focus on diversity and inclusion
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; driven by process improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft suite
