Role Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for supporting and managing the success of product Production, Procurement, Logistics and Compliance at our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the adherence to standard work on products and processes.
- Develop and implement individual and team product category training programs as needed.
- Analyze processes, identify trends, and continuously evaluate production/packaging processes for improvement.
- Enhance employees' skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work.
- Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet internal volume, cost, and quality goals.
- Analyze production metrics and make recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified.
- Oversee hiring, staffing and development of all production supervisors and staff.
- Ensure safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the proper medication of products according to oil specifications and approvals.
- Maintain production and testing records for historical reference.
- Oversee the receipt and accuracy of delivered items for production runs and maintain accurate inventories of supplies, requesting more as needed.
- Communicate and troubleshoot production issues as necessary with leadership.
- Work with Procurement Team and D&W Manager to ensure timely delivery of all company supplied ingredients, packaging and/or marketing materials.
- Monitor and report current and future legislation for your State.
- Collaborate with the Finance department to draft quarterly and annual budget requirements based on the projected purchasing requirements.
- Produce reports and statistics using computer software.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
- Attend training of new procedures and equipment.
- Analyze complex situations and quickly determine the best solution for the organization.
- Other duties as assigned that may or may not be commensurate with the level of responsibility of this job description.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Travel Required
- Travel to additional operating states is possible. All trips must be pre-approved by managers.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Manufacturing, or Food Service/Science, or 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a highly regulated industry
- Minimum of 3 years managing team members
- Cannabis Badge and ServSafe certification or similar required

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
