Job Description

The Production Painter will be responsible to read the work order to identify which parts require paint and the associated required paint color. The parts that require paint vary substantially unit by unit based on customer specs. All units require hydraulic motors, bearings, and small brackets to be painted. Some units require much larger assemblies to be painted, e.g., discharge tubes and booms. The parts will need to be sanded, cleaned, and organized in preparation for the paint process. All parts are painted by hand using an automotive paint gun. Following the paint process, the parts are organized on a cart and prepared for the production assembly process.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Read trailer specification sheet to understand customer requirements
• Clean, sand, and prep parts for prime/paint
• Mix paints per manufacturer specs
• Perform prime/paint process
• Must be comfortable using an air supplied painting hood
• Stage completed parts on carts to prepare them for final assembly
• Work area to be kept clean, neat, and organized

Additional Requirements and Considerations:

• On the job training will be provided
• Opportunity for 10 hour shifts as well as overtime

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
