SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for a Production Planner for a large distribution center located in Melrose Park IL. The Production Planner will supervise daily operations of the warehouse including receiving incoming shipments, sorting & transferring materials, and preparing shipments for outbound delivery.

Production Planner will be responsible for identifying and communicating key shortages and constraints in both short and mid-term as it applies to the Planned Production Schedule, ensuring maximum performance and minimum delays. Key area of focus also includes inventory adjustments and inventory accuracy as it relates to the Production warehouse activities, taking a lead role in supervising, supporting, and determining continuous improvements related to Return to Stock and Production Office responsibilities, processes, and training.

Monday -Friday

8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Responsibilities of the Production Planner:

• Review material requirements based on Planned Production Schedule to determine shortages communicating constraints both short and mid-term.
• Communicate and Collaborate with Master Planner
• Adjusts inventory within designated area of responsibility based on Production cycle counts, return to stock, inventory requests, month-end, and Co-Packer activities.
• Lead physical inventory process twice per year, ensuring that inventory is accurately counted and adjusted.
• Attend/Host weekly-daily production and inventory related meetings
• Fill-In and support Production Office staff as needed.
• Create and maintain processes.
• Create production-related records based on sales.
• Reconcile material inventory at Co-Packing sites.
• Lead process improvement projects to drive inventory accuracy and workflow improvements.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures as well as department and corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications for The Production Planner:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• 1-2+ years of production and inventory management experience
• 1-2+ years of ERP/MRP systems knowledge and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
