Refrigeration Vessels & Systems (RVS) located in Bryan, Texas is seeking the ideal candidate for Production Scheduler.

RVS, a wholly owned subsidiary of EVAPCO, Inc., is an industry leading manufacturer of pressure vessels and vessel package systems used in the Industrial Refrigeration [Food & Beverage Processing and Cold Storage Warehouse] and Industrial Process industries such as Oil & Gas.

Job Summary:

The Production Scheduler is responsible for the production schedule. The Production Scheduler is focused on scheduling the flow of projects on both an intermediate and long-term basis, assigning hours based on shop capacity in a way that maximizes loading, productivity, and lead times. This position is an in-office, hourly, non-exempt position.

• Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or GED required, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of related work experience.

Essential Functions:

• Add projects into the schedule, working with Sales, Supply Chain, and Design to develop realistic production dates and shipment acknowledgment dates.
• Coordinate and/or release projects to production and validate daily performance against expectations.
• Report deviations to standard to management and assist in the identification of root causes and remediation.
• Learn the company’s manufacturing / scheduling system to better understand the flow of information and resulting impact on project progress, inventory, order status, etc.
• Work closely with sales order entry to ensure projects are loaded in accordance with demonstrated manufacturing capacities and capacity projections, and that change notices and other adjustments are communicated effectively to interested parties.
• Review the schedule daily in relation to the shipping schedule to ensure that Production has been properly burdened with a workload that meets capacity plans, deviations to standards, and expected delivery dates.
• Perform routine reviews of the schedule at both intermediate and long-term outlooks to identify unique production requirements and coordinate with supply chain counterparts to ensure preparedness.
• Work with supply chain to determine the impact of material availability on the schedule of production.
• Develop accurate schedule of hours for each unit type and produce hours claiming sheets for welding departments.
• Generate weekly & monthly production reports for local and corporate management.
• Communicate and work with procurement, production, and shipping daily to identify potential constraints and collaboratively develop and implement solutions.
• Facilitate the weekly office production meetings.
• Assist in preparation for shop production meetings, by printing schedules for supervisors as needed.
• Review and maintain SharePoint data to ensure accuracy.
• Develop methods of improvement for both scheduling and production work cycles.
• Other duties, as assigned.
