We are currently seeking a Shift Leader to join our Packing House team as a crucial link in the food supply chain.

The Shift Leader works under direction of the AM or PM Supervisor. The Shift Leader is responsible for executing the daily plan set forth by management. They will hold the team accountable for case or unit per hour quotas. The Shift Leader must follow all food safety and general safety practices.

ABOUT THE JOB

This is a full-time position. The schedule is Sunday-Thursday 2pm-10pm.

• Ensures the safety and productivity of employees assigned to designated shifts.
• Manages hours to the best of their ability by monitoring productivity and controlling team size.
• Responsible for communication to the Packing Team on the daily plan and holds them accountable.
• Assures customer specifications are met by verifying the Quality Control Specialist findings and adjusting when necessary.
• Completes all activities assigned in the packing room.
• Schedules maintenance during shifts for routine machine cleanings.
• Responsible for machine optimization.
• Responsible to report all hours to temp agencies and Director of Production.
• Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defied by departmental and organizational needs.
• Represents John Vena, Inc. in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
