Right now, our Distribution Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Full Time Production Supervisor!
Position Summary: This position directly supervises production workers who oversee the electronics, hardware, apparel, linen, books, housewares, toys, shoes, Target, new goods, and loading departments.
Salary: $17.65 Per Hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Production Supervisor responsibilities Includes the following and other duties as assigned:
- Establish production quality control and ensures ongoing improvement of product and process quality.
- Work with other members Management to establish strategic and tactical objectives.
- Implement and manage quality initiatives, assures quality tracking and performance.
- Identify and suggest new ideas and methods of improvement for Production functions.
- Recommend equipment and methods to improve productivity.
- Develops and produces reports related to process improvements, production tracking, and cost reviews.
- Active in properly training new employees.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrate cultural competence; specifically, awareness, attitude, knowledge, willingness and skills to work effectively with a culturally and demographically diverse population
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
- Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Cultural Competency: Ability to work in a diverse organization. Ability to work on a team and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics. Ability to write creatively and articulately with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
Other Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Production Supervisor
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be or become CPR/First Aid Certified (Goodwill will provide these classes).
Other Qualifications: Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
