ilooklikeLOVE Program Advocate (South Dallas/Fair Park)
CitySquare places AmeriCorps members with ilooklikeLOVE in Dallas, TX, which provides supplemental diaper assistance and other baby essentials to families in need. The AmeriCorps Program Advocate supports all operations of the ilooklikeLOVE mobile diaper pantry, and may also have the opportunity to support the ilooklikeLOVE EmpowerU program for single mothers. EmpowerU provides mentoring, and access to information, resources, and opportunities that will assist clients to navigate motherhood and achieve their personal dreams. Duties include responding to incoming calls and inquiries via phone, text, email, and/or social media for individuals requesting supplies from the mobile diaper pantry, assisting with the intake and case management of Emergency Assistance clients, assisting with diaper distribution event check-ins and on-site registrations, as well as loading, unloading, setup and breakdown for events, and assisting with inventory preparation and management for upcoming diaper distribution events.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Available from January 9 – April 28, 2023.
- Available 30-32 hours per week: Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm, and two Saturdays per month from either 10am to 3pm or 8:30am to 1:30pm.
- High School Graduate (17 or older).
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Deferred action and temporary permanent resident do not qualify).
- Able to access reliable transportation.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications:
- Preferred one-year experience in a non-profit setting as a paid employee or volunteer, and/or experience in social work, human service, or a related field.
