Program Coordinator
Job description
AAMFT’s Program Coordinator, in partnership with AAMFT’s Strategic Initiatives and Outreach Director, offers point of contact operational support and content delivery for engagement programs including, but not limited to, geographically based volunteer programs and our leadership development track.
Responsibilities include working collaboratively with other staff, volunteers, and members to execute programmatic activities including delivery and execution. This position serves as a key ambassador for the programs to members and purchasers.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with others execute efficient strategies and tactics to increase program collaboration and streamline their operations. Strong organizational skills and customer service are key values.
Applicants must be able to travel up to 20% and occasionally work weekends/evenings.
Ideal candidate should possess strong skills in the following areas:
- Understanding of project/program strategic plans and key goals.
- Outstanding customer service and proven organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Strong initiative, drive for results, and self-assessment skills.
- Ability to utilize analytical evaluation skills.
- Must be adaptable and able to quickly and effectively develop and balance multiple relationships and garner results from a variety of people.
- Past experience in customer service, project coordination, non-profit chapters, and/or volunteer relations are preferred.
Position requires employee to:
Execute strategic direction, focus, and goals for AAMFT’s internal programming.
- Oversee day to day operations of assigned programs, at times demonstrating ability to multi-task multiple responsibilities at once.
- Coordinate with members, volunteers, and relevant staff to execute program offerings.
- Work with supervisors to perform annual assessment of programs.
- Work with supervisors to meet all goals and deliverables as established in annual business plan.
Bachelor’s degree preferred with 1-2 years experience.
Salary: $42,000 - $45,000 depending on skills and experience
