KenCrest Services’ Early Childhood Program provides quality childcare for young children with and without special needs. We are seeking an enthusiastic leader to provide supervision and coordination for one of our preschool programs. The Program Coordinator ensures continuous quality improvement as guided by Keystone Star 4 standards and oversees all recruitment, enrollment, and referral activities. You will also ensure quality data collection and reporting.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with families, program, and agency staff and community partners to provide positive and effective programming and follow-through.
- Schedule staff to provide adequate and appropriate staff coverage as needed.
- Assure and monitor safe supervision of children at all times.
- Supervise staff on a regular and on-going basis to monitor quality in job performance; conduct regular classroom observations and annual evaluations for each staff person.
- Model and promote effective problem-solving and mediation with individual staff and within the team; build and maintain positive, professional working relationships with employees; foster a sense of community with staff.
- Model and monitor practices that engage family's in programming.
- Document, maintain, and update personnel records; foster a sense of community with staff.
- Supervise and delegate tasks as appropriate.
- Monitor recruitment, enrollment, child and family records, attendance, injury and illness, referrals for support, and transitions.
- Monitor and facilitate all activities related to compliance with internal and external regulatory offices or agencies.
- Consistently review samples of records and reports provided by staff.
- Manage the use of site facilities and resources.
- Supervise maintenance of clean, safe, and healthy center environments, indoor and out.
- Monitor the health and safety of all children and staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Director’s credentials
- Five years of experience working with families, young children, and community services
- At least three years of supervisory experience
