Program Manager
Moog’s legacy CSA group produces vibration mitigation and adapter hardware solutions for aerospace, scientific, commercial and military customers. From proposal phase to ground testing, launch and on-orbit operations, we support each mission as scientific, technical and operational facilitators.
Our AP West group is a smaller unit with a development-group feel and we are looking for a self-directed Senior Program Manager that is willing to take on a variety of roles and tasks to help our business thrive. Our group works primarily on “one off” programs, each with unique requirements and customer needs. Because we are a small group, you will have the opportunity to touch every part of the program life cycle from concept to flight.
As the Program Manager, you will serve as the point of contact for program communications with Moog’s AP West/CSA customers and work with the technical lead (Primary Investigator, PI) to meet the schedule and cost objectives for the program. You would be a key contributor to the schedule, cost, price, development, and testing of complex hardware used on aerospace applications
NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
Program Manager Job Duties...

  • Partner with the PI to ensure compliance with contract requirements through coordination and management of all program activities
  • Achieve program/project objectives through effective application of program management principles within the confines of scope schedule and budget defined by the program/project sponsor
  • Sustain and expand the organizations book of business through the leadership and/or support of proposal teams and business capture campaigns
  • Interface with suppliers for quotes and ordering parts
  • Drive the programs from proposal through execution and closeout.
  • Contribute to the development of new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel
  • Be a key contributor to the preparation of successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and technical volume write ups
  • Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individual
  • Knowledge of structural dynamics, vibro-acoustics and vibro-acoustic control and amelioration a big plus

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace preferred, plus 3 years of program management experience
  • M.B.A. preferred
  • Self-starting instincts and strong analytical skills
  • Good communications skills
  • Pay range for this opportunity is $100K - $145K.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
