SDS engages in the antennas and equipment for on-board and ground telemetry including: data acquisition, data recording, satellite receivers, satellite radio signal recorders for earth observation and deep space, low earth orbit tracking antennas, mission recorders, flight test recorders, and telemetry antennas. The company has grown 60% over the last 3 years to now over $50M in annual revenue.
Role Description
Safran Data Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Program Manager for antenna programs. This position is responsible for planning and directing the execution of contract requirements to assure that cost, schedule, and performance goals are met while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
Support RFQ / RFI response preparation and other customer and sub-contractor required responses.
Participate in preliminary Bid / No Bid assessments and Proposal Reviews with management teams.
Build the proposal, SOW compliance matrix, and cost estimates.
Develop Work Breakdown Structure and Integrated Master Schedules.
Prepare and run Program Milestone Reviews (KOM, PDR, CDR, Site activities) and other periodic customer reviews.
Develop KPIs / objectives regarding Quality, Cost, Schedule, Technical Performance and Customer Satisfaction and monitor progress on a regular basis.
Lead the Integrated Program Team, gathering team members from Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing and Sales in the US and serve as the point of contact to antenna facility headquartered in France.
Provide leadership as the main interface with the customer during program execution; foster the relationship between the customer and the Integrated Program Team.
Analyze and address risks and opportunities of assigned programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of instrumentation and RF telemetry theory is a plus.
Experience or willingness to learn about flight test, flight recorders, telemetry systems, data acquisition systems.
Familiarity with government sales, sales to prime contractors and/or aerospace industry.
Must demonstrate skills and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and within the organization at all levels.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, and must have a positive outlook and desire to do what is best for the customer.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, MS Project.
Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Due to multiple interactions with teams located in France and Germany, a knowledge of European cultures and/or languages would be a plus.
Education and Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent years of education, training, and experience.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in program management, preferably in a government contracting and/or commercial aerospace environment.
Strong knowledge of program management methodologies and proven ability to manage programs.
PMP certification preferred.

U.S. Government Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
Ability to travel up to 25%, domestically and internationally

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
