What You Will Be Doing

Tyto Athene is seeking a qualified Technical Program Manager to support a critical initiative to modernize our Federal Law Enforcement Customers legacy telephony systems to an enterprise-class VoIP and Unified Communications solution across all CONUS locations.

Responsibilities

The Program Manager acts as the primary and accountable point of contact for the customer. She/he defines, plans, manages and reports on contractual requirements and overall performance of their programs, providing fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources oversight of the program.

Principle duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides program team leadership and has overall responsibility for ensuring successful management of the program for both external and internal customers.
  • Serves as the primary customer point of contact within the organization. Coordinates with both internal and external customers to ensure all program objectives and expectations are aligned and executable.
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Experience with designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the project.
  • Track and Brief project statuses on a weekly basis and as requested
  • Supports systems development, technical planning, development, integration, and verification and validation.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates technical documentation such as enterprise architecture, application/system design, and network architecture and design.
    Perform technical writing of Implementation Plans and procedures
  • Oversees the Development, maintenance, and upkeep of technical documentation such as enterprise architecture, application/system design, and network architecture and design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Experience with ITIL or other service delivery models
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • 5 years or more of Project management experience preferred
  • Agile SAFe Certification
  • At least seven (7) years of experience as a project manager for VOIP projects.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Experience Required

  • Experience developing and implementing projects and providing a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Experience taking projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Experience interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users, engineering, and other IT stakeholders.
  • Experience defining project scope and objectives.
  • Experience developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Experienced with project tracking and analysis.
  • Experience ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables.
  • Experience providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
  • Experience recommending and taking action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Must be willing to work at customer site in Washington DC
