The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination of the program partners and the workshop trainings, including logistics for facilities, supplies and technology needs.

Requirements

  • Works directly with local service providers to implement program.
  • Responsible for implementing marketing and outreach plan.
  • Facilitates small business workshops/trainings at partner sites.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of the program, including curriculum customization and general program oversight.
  • Identify future partners to target clients.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for the program and maintain relationships and contacts with local services providers, deliver presentations on services to targeted organizations.
  • Maintain calendar and documentation on all training.
  • Attend program and agency related meetings and conferences.
  • Provide direct one-on-one coaching and technical assistance, when the Business Coach is experiencing a backlog.
  • Manage program metrics and ensure program reports and client outcomes are met.
  • Maintain files for all programs including the in-kind donation of meeting and training space.
  • Responsible for recruiting, training and managing support volunteers where needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least three to five years of experience or a combination of education and experience working in program management.
  • Preferred majors include business, finance, marketing, accounting, communications, criminal justice, social sciences or management.
  • Additional work experience in criminal justice and social service industries a plus.
Preferred Competencies
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure of deadlines and within budget constraints.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, while also working independently.
  • Excellent public relations, community organizing, and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire community participation and ability to build community coalitions.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of citizens, who may have conflicting interests and opinions.
  • Must have strong administrative and organizational skills including budget development and management, and grant administration and reporting.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, excel and database management.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
