Summary: The Freedom from Trafficking program (FFT) seeks to create a world free from slavery by 1) providing comprehensive, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally appropriate services to survivors and their families; 2) participating in the anti-trafficking learning community—mutually sharing expertise and supporting both new and established anti-trafficking stakeholders; and 3) advocating for policies that serve to protect and empower survivors, victims, and potential victims of trafficking. The Program Manager will supervise the case management team including staff, interns, and volunteers and oversee service delivery to ensure quality services are provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct oversight of quality service delivery and programming—including:

    • Provide monthly supervision and ongoing support to FFT staff, interns and volunteers;

    • Recruit and provide initial and annual training to volunteers;

    • Remain current in the field of service through professional development activities, as approved by the Director;

    • Maintain and update policies and procedures relative to contractual obligations, Heartland Alliance Philosophy of care and industry best practice;

    • Contribute to the development of proposals to secure government and private funding to support programming; and

    • Conduct regular audits to ensure the program remains in compliance with all internal and external requirements and standards
  • Develop and maintain external relationships with other appropriate groups on behalf of the organization.
  • Conduct outreach and training with community partners and stakeholders as needed
  • Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary, including involving Child Protective Services.
  • Actively pursues professional development opportunities such as workshops and education programs

  • Participates in regular supervision meetings with immediate supervisor

  • Education and/or Experience:Master’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience, and demonstrated leadership abilities, is required. Supervisory experience is required. Experience in human trafficking and/or working with survivors of trauma is strongly preferred. Language Skills: Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence.

  • Other: Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check. Ability to travel independently throughout relevant region.
