Position Summary
The Division of Graduate Studies at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Program Manager – Graduate Admissions position. The Program Manager assists the Associate Dean in managing the admissions process for graduate students from inquiry to matriculation. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle inquiries with comprehensive assurance in the follow up loop, manage the application process including trouble shooting and amending as needed, and work as an effective member in the Division of Graduate Studies.

Minimum Required Education
Master’s degree in Education, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum Required Experience
At least three years of responsible work experience with students.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor the online Graduate Application system and process
- Provide support for graduate admissions in compliance with University policies and procedures
- Serve as the primary contact and facilitator for international applications, and liaison to JSU Global Serve as a liaison in resolving issues related to graduate admissions
- Monitor the status of individual applications
- Develop, implement, and lead graduate student orientation programs
- Develop and implement strategies for recruitment
- Prepare brochures and reports for use in promoting Division of Graduate Studies activities
- Market graduate programs
- Assist with new faculty orientation as related to graduate studies
- Interact with individual graduate program coordinators
- Maintain an inventory of graduate degree courses and programs
- Serve as leader and trainer for the Division of Graduate Studies on Banner issues and upgrades
- Provide support for administrative duties in the Division or Graduate Studies in the absence of the Associate Dean
- Perform special and other administrative duties as assigned
