Job description
Manage administrative responsibilities in support of Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’s (ODEI) department diversity plan initiative and faculty pipeline programs, all which have organizational impact. Work with Director to support LCOM department leadership and designated diversity champions and build relationships crucial to the success of these initiatives. Serve as a liaison between ODEI and department diversity champions by providing guidance and advice on best practices to ensure program success. Problem-solve and prioritize activities and promote all diversity efforts within the LCOM and across the institution and with UVMMC.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree. One to three years’ experience in higher education or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work independently. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of College students, personnel, and affiliates, and across multiple disciplines. Project management and computer proficiency is essential, including Office 365 Suite. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice issues, and fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment.
