Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest, Inc. (NARA NW), Community Engagement & Development Assistant’s primary responsibility is to support the Community Engagement & Development Department (CED) in projects, events and daily office support. Provide support for material preparation and distribution for NARA NW marketing, assist in the receiving of donations and dissemination process to all NARA NW sites as assigned. Receiving incoming phone calls and other communications, greeting clients and visitors, and performing general office duties and errands. Taking part in the NARA NW Events Planning and Spirit of Giving Conference planning meetings and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in daily functions of the CED department. Managing calls and other communications.
  • Greeting clients/patients, community and visitors as needed.
  • Performing general office duties and errands. Maintaining office equipment as needed.
  • Helping to update and manage common areas as assigned.
  • Provide support to CED staff with current projects or events.
  • Attend and participate in networking events to include non-profit and government organizations as assigned.
  • Participate in the internal NARA NW Events Planning Committee and the Spirit of Giving conference planning.
  • Assist in the procurement, assembly, and distribution of marketing items.
  • Prepare presentation packets for marketing, networking, and advertising purposes.
  • Provide assistance to the CED Manager in the donation process for NARA NW.
  • Provide assistance to the Social Marketing & Media Specialists as needed per project.
  • Provide logistical support for NARA NW and community activities.
  • Attend meetings and events as assigned.

REQUIRMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field and one-year project support experience OR post high school education and 2 years project support experience.
  • Word processing skill and a working knowledge of MS Word, Spreadsheets.
  • Skill and experience in organizing information, technical report writing, library/web research.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of office procedures, and ability to represent NARA NW in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with teams.
