SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator (PC) will assist project managers in managing, planning, and coordinating the full life cycle of projects. This position ensures that all project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe, budgetary parameters and to the customer’s satisfaction. The position will assist in high-level project planning such as crafting project milestones, timelines, reconciliation, and personnel management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists with the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work and business development activities.

Collaborates in the preparation of the documents associated with the execution of all aspects of the project in accordance with contractual obligations.

Anticipates problems and opportunities and addresses them appropriately and effectively.

Manages multiple medium complexity projects simultaneously, creating and maintaining project plans, updating status reports, and tracking and resolving issues.

Assists Program Manager to establish and navigate key stakeholder relationships and keep the team informed and engaged in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and stakeholders.

Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.

Assists with the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project-oriented work efforts.

Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet stakeholder expectations.

Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of stakeholders.

Coordinates communication within all areas that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.

Assists Program Manager(s) in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole. Fosters an environment in which they will report any violations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience. Experience with CDC and or State jurisdictions preferred.

Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Professional Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.)

Experience leading internal/external communications activities for organizational initiatives.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public.
