Job Introduction:
Maximus is currently looking for a Project Director! The Project Director will be responsible for all aspects of the project including P&L, staffing, program contract performance, and maintaining compliance with contract requirements. The incumbent in this position will operate with autonomy to make key business decisions on behalf of the program.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact for the state client
  • Ensure program operations are in compliance with all applicable requirements of the contract, as well as State and federal regulations
  • Ensure goals and objectives are established by Project Manager that support the overall Project strategies
  • Oversee all project administrative operations including budget, financial controls, and human resources
  • Plan, develop and schedule priorities for achieving operational and performance goals
  • Review management, productivity, and financial reports and studies to ensure program objectives are met
  • Participate in internal audits, research studies, forecasts, and modeling exercises to support Project direction and guidance
  • Manage operational managers, to include performance appraisals, mentoring, and professional/development guidance
  • Demonstrate a high level of dedication and proactive leadership in meeting corporate goals and program objectives
  • Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company
  • Overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities; and recommend and implement changes to methods
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company
  • Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
  • Ensure budget and schedule meet corporate requirements
  • Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers and interaction frequently involves special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization

Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in health care administration or related field
  • Clinical license/degree (i.e. RN, LPN, MSW, SW, LCSW, LFC, etc.), preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting required
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Medicaid
  • 3+ years’ experience in quality control
  • Established knowledge of project management principles including contract, risk and fiscal management
  • Ability to handle multiple and/or complex projects with measurable outcomes

Pay Transparency: Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Posted Min: USD $140,000.00/Yr. Posted Max: USD $160,000.00/Yr.
